Week 1 Verb Tenses

Learning intentions

To revise the simple and continuous tenses and how they are formed.

To know that verbs describe what is happening in the past, present or future and they can be written in the simple and continuous tenses.

Discuss how tenses are formed,sometimes adding a suffix like -ed or - ing, sometimes by using an auxiliary like ‘shall’ or ‘will’.

Success Criteria

I understand what a verb is

I can identify which tense a given sentence is written in.

I can write sentences in each of the six tenses.
