To understand the words long/ short, longer/ shorter.

                                         tall/ taller/ tallest (extension)

To talk with their partner about objects/ pictures that are long/ short.

To use the words long/ short in simple sentences.

To make simple comparisons between 2 objects in terms of length.

To talk about things that take a longer or shorter time to do.
