To know that a sentence wall is a simple way to understand sentence structure.

Look at this sentence

The little boy kicked the red ball.

Identify the verb, subject and the object if there is one.

Draw a box around the subject ‘boy’ with a small s in the corner.

Draw a ring around the object ‘ball’ with a small o inside

Add the word ‘hard’ to the end of the sentence
