Know that many words we use in English originate in French.

Revise transitive and intransitive verbs 


Introduction

Identify the ‘shun’ sound in the following words

information, version, expression, magician, identification, comprehension, submission, physician.

 

Say the word chef.

 

Another way to make the sh word is to use ch

 

This is because many words used in English have been borrowed from French, and are now used in the English Language.


Look at your spelling list, identify the syllables in each word. Notice that many of the words are from French.
