Learning Intention:
1.To refine the children’s knowledge of nouns, and introduce the term ‘concrete nouns’. Concrete nouns are common nouns that you can see, hear, smell, taste or touch.

2. To know the five senses.

Nouns are the names given to people, places and dates (proper nouns) or things (common nouns)

Proper nouns always start with a capital letter.

Actions for proper nouns - touch their forehead with index and middle fingers.

Actions for common nouns- touch their forehead with their hand. NB COVID restrictions

There are 3 categories of common nouns
Concrete = all things that have a physical form that you can see, touch, hear, smell, taste.

Collective= the name for a group of people, animals or things eg a class of children

Abstract= nouns that express ideas, concepts, or qualities that cannot be seen or experienced. We cannot see, hear, touch, taste, or smell these concepts. Eg fear, love jealousy, pride.
