Parenting week is celebrated in Northern Ireland in October each year and is organised by the charity Parenting NI.
This year’s theme is Reset & Reconnect asking parents to pause, reset and consider how they can reconnect with their families, communities, faith groups, children’s school and even nature. Parenting NI have arranged a number of training sessions on the importance of engaging parents which will be freely offered to practitioners during the week and an online webinar with guest speaker on the topic of Reset and Reconnect is being organised.
Parenting NI is the leading charity providing free support and services for parents needs across Northern Ireland. Since 1999 Parenting NI has organised National Parenting Week in Northern Ireland in partnership with other local and regional groups which support parents and children.
Children's most important early relationships are with their parents. Positive parent-child relationships are important for all areas of children’s development. Spending quality time and showing warmth, care and respect, can strengthen your relationship with your child.
