  • Halloween Festivities

    Well done to all the children today. Thank you for getting the Halloween break off to a frightening start. Costumes were fantastic. Thank you ,as well, to everyone who supported our hamper raffle. 
     

  • It's Parenting Week - 18-22 October 2021

    Parenting week is celebrated in Northern Ireland in October each year and is organised by the charity Parenting NI. 

     

    This year’s theme is Reset & Reconnect asking parents to pause, reset and consider how they can reconnect with their families, communities, faith groups, children’s school and even nature.  Parenting NI have arranged a number of training sessions on the importance of engaging parents which will be freely offered to practitioners during the week and an online webinar with guest speaker on the topic of Reset and Reconnect is being organised.

     

    Parenting NI is the leading charity providing free support and services for parents needs across Northern Ireland.  Since 1999 Parenting NI has organised National Parenting Week in Northern Ireland in partnership with other local and regional groups which support parents and children.

     

    Children's most important early relationships are with their parents.  Positive parent-child relationships are important for all areas of children’s development.  Spending quality time and showing warmth, care and respect, can strengthen your relationship with your child.  The Parenting NI website offers a wealth of important information, especially top tips Top Tips - Parenting NI, which supports the parent child relationship.  The Top Tips Leaflets include:-

     

    The Parenting NI website contains a variety of information and guidance including a support line. You can also download their App.

     

    The Department for Health provide parenting top tips on their website Top Tips for Parents | Department of Health and suggest looking at the Family Support NI website for a list of family support services across the region.

     

    Don't forget the school is also always here to help and support your children.

  • Halloween Disco

    Don’t forget the community spooktacular Halloween Disco is this Friday 22nd October 4-6PM in St. Patrick's Parish Hall.

     

    In advance of the Halloween Holidays and the community disco, all pupils are invited to dress up for School on Friday, 🎃 however accessories and props will not be needed during school hours. Please ensure pupils still wear suitable footwear and a coat for outdoor break and lunch play.

    If for any reason you do not have access to a costume, please contact your child’s class teacher and we will help to make arrangements depending on size required.
